Salvation Army
When activated, EDS mobilizes as many as 10 hydration stations throughout the Phoenix metropolitan area. These stations provide free cold bottled water to anyone requesting it. In addition, they provide safety information on how to stay healthy and safe during the heat emergencies. When possible, sunscreen and hats are provided to those needing protection from the sun. EDS works alongside Project HOPE by providing information on the nearest heat respite location, available to provide individuals with temporary relief from the daytime heat. Transportation assistance to the locations may also be provided. The stations are staffed by Salvation Army officers, staff, and volunteers, and may be supported by Phoenix park ranger volunteers. Additionally, they provide logistical support to Phoenix park rangers and police by providing water and ice for their mobile units also assisting in hydration support.

Your $5 registration fee will go towards purchasing water for the Salvation Army EDS Heat Relief Response. Not only will Borderline raise money for clean drinking water for thousands of people across the globe, but it will also provide relief for those in need right here in Phoenix.
